Welcome to Appellation
This minimalist brass incense holder is designed by artisan Masataka Sumitani of Hakuhodo Sumitani Saburo Shōten, a metalwork atelier founded in 1939 in Japan's historic metalwork town of Takaoka.
Crafted from solid brass, the weighted ball sits atop a separate base and can be positioned at any angle, allowing you to orient the incense stick as you wish.
The ball features two differing diameter holes suitable for either Japanese or Indian incense.
Place on a tray to collect the ashes.
Dimensions: W16mm, Holes ⌀3mm/1mm, Weight: 18g
Also available in Black.
Included in every box of Appellation incense
Every year, over 108 million kilograms of date seeds, a byproduct of the industry, are discarded in the UAE.
We partnered with DateForm, a material innovation startup, to create our signature date-seed incense holder, included in every box of Appellation incense.
Since 2023, Appellation incense holders have repurposed 10 kilograms of material – approximately 15,000 date seeds.
